Welcome to Christmas Tree Lane (CTL)! We are thrilled to have you join in this time-honored tradition. As a cast member of CTL '26, you will add a memorable experience to your senior year. This application is for participation in the 2026 CTL Christmas Production or the Senior Celebration featured during Sunday Brunch. Each Jesuit or St. Francis senior should submit one application with a parent or guardian. This opportunity is open to seniors and their parents.

CHRISTMAS PRODUCTION: This year's show consists of 5 choreographed Christmas scenes, with one song per scene, starring Jesuit and St. Francis seniors and participating parents. The production will be presented at the Saturday Luncheon on November 28, 2026, and the Sunday Brunch on November 29, 2026, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Sacramento. Participants may wear clothing on loan from stores, including Macy's, and some scenes may require clothing from their own closets. Please review home, school, work, sports, and travel calendars carefully before committing.

CAST AVAILABILITY/Full Show Participation: To participate in the full Christmas Production, you must attend casting, all rehearsals assigned to your scenes, full-cast rehearsals, the show-week rehearsal, and both performances. Attendance will depend on the scenes you are cast in. Specific dates are below (Times may adjust as needed):

●    Casting: Sunday, October 4th, 10:00am-12:00pm at Jesuit High School in the Welcome Center. Open to all Jesuit and St. Francis seniors and parents. Please be prepared to share any special musical, vocal, dance, acting, or instrumental talent.

●    Sunday Rehearsals: October 11th, and 18th, and November 1st and 8th, from 4:30-6:30pm. Participants only need to attend rehearsals for the scenes in which they are cast, except for required full-cast rehearsals.

●    Wednesday Rehearsals: October 7th, 14th, and 21st, from 4:30-6:30pm. Attendance will depend on the scenes in which you are cast.

●    Full-Cast Rehearsal: Sunday, November 22, 10:00am-4:00pm. Everyone must attend.

●    Macy's Dress Fittings: Participants may be assigned a fitting approximately two weeks before the event. Exact dates and times will be provided.

●    Full Dress and Tech Rehearsal: Friday, November 27, 10:00am-6:00pm at the DoubleTree Hotel. All cast members must attend.

●    Saturday Luncheon Performance: Saturday, November 28. Call time is 10:00am; the Christmas Production begins at 12:00pm. Participants will be dismissed after the show and assigned responsibilities are complete.

●    Sunday Brunch Performance: Sunday, November 29. Call time is 9:00am; the Christmas Production begins at 11:00am and includes the Senior Celebration.

Meetings and rehearsals are mandatory.  Cast members must attend every assigned Sunday and Wednesday rehearsal in October & November, as well as all full-cast rehearsals.

CASTING: All prospective cast members must attend casting on Sunday, October 4th, 10:00am-12:00pm. The production team will use this session to learn about each participant's interests, movement, personality, and special talents. Musical, vocal, dance, acting, and instrumental talents are encouraged. Our goal is to include all eligible seniors who can fulfill the required schedule.

SENIOR CELEBRATION:  Senior Celebration is for Jesuit seniors and their parent or parents who will be featured during the Sunday Brunch Christmas Production on November 29. Participants will receive separate rehearsal and attire instructions from the production team and must be available for the Sunday call time and performance.

*All students applying must be in good academic standing and have satisfactory attendance and conduct records. Participation is subject to approval by the student's school administration.

Show Casting

Performers for each scene are selected by the Choreographer.  Providing the following details for all participants allows the casting team to coordinate partners, schedule scene rehearsals, and make wardrobe arrangements.

IMPORTANT: Do you foresee any school, athletic, work, travel, or family conflicts with CTL casting, assigned Sunday or Wednesday rehearsals, show-week rehearsal, or performances? Cast members are expected to attend all rehearsals for their assigned scenes, as well as opening, closing, and full-cast rehearsals. We will do our best to work around school activities. Please list all anticipated scheduling conflicts now.

Please list anticipated conflicts and any Kairos session you may attend or staff. 

All full-production participants must be available for the full-cast rehearsal on November 22, November 27, and performances on November 28 and 29.

Cast Contracts

STUDENT: By signing this application, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and will comply with all CTL Christmas Production rules and requirements in the cover letter. I agree to attend casting, Macy's fittings, if assigned, all Sunday and Wednesday rehearsals, as assigned, as well as full-cast rehearsals and both performances. I understand my time commitment and will make school activity conflicts known promptly. I understand that not every conflict can be accommodated and that I must communicate immediately if my availability changes.
STUDENT: Participants in the Loyola Guild of Jesuit High School CTL Christmas Production and their parent, by signing this agreement, understand that all store clothing, accessories, hats, instruments, and props assigned to them are their responsibility and must be handled carefully. Participants agree to follow all clothing and store rules. Any reasonable costs incurred for dry-cleaning, repair, or replacement of an item that is damaged or misplaced may be the responsibility of the participant assigned to it. All loaned items must be returned in the same condition as received.
STUDENT: Students participating in the Loyola Guild of Jesuit High School CTL Christmas Production 2026 and their parents, by signing this agreement, release Show Choreographer, Jacob Montoya, from any liability in the event that an accident or injury is sustained during casting, meetings, store fittings, rehearsals and/or performances. Cast members must be careful at all times while rehearsing on campus, in dressing rooms at venue, navigating up and down stairs to and from the stage, and while performing on elevated stage. Participants with pre-existing health conditions must be extremely cautious during this event. The cast of the Loyola Guild CTL Show also acknowledge by signing this agreement that there is potential for injury as with any other activity and consider themselves aware of such risk.
PARENT: Participants in the Loyola Guild of Jesuit High School CTL Christmas Production and their parent, by signing this agreement, understand that all store clothing, accessories, hats, instruments, and props assigned to the participant are their responsibility and must be handled carefully. Participants agree to follow all clothing and store rules. Any reasonable costs incurred for dry-cleaning, repair, or replacement of an item that is damaged or misplaced may be the responsibility of the participant assigned to it. All loaned items must be returned in the same condition as received.
PARENT: Participants in the Loyola Guild of Jesuit High School CTL Christmas Production and their parents, by signing this agreement, acknowledge the possibility of accident or injury during casting, fittings, Sunday and Wednesday rehearsals and performances. Participants must follow all safety directions while rehearsing on campus or at the venue, in dressing rooms and backstage areas, on stairs, and on any elevated stage or performance surface. Participants with pre-existing health or mobility conditions should communicate relevant limitations to the production team and use appropriate caution.
Signature for All CTL Contracts
As with our Drama Department, bands, and athletic teams, we consider students participating in the 2026 CTL Christmas Production to be representatives of Jesuit High School or St. Francis High School. We take the behavior of every participant seriously. All participating students and a parent or guardian must read this contract and sign below.

The following criteria should be firmly in mind throughout all CTL activities at the DoubleTree Hotel, participating stores, Jesuit High School, or St. Francis High School.

1. CTL Christmas Production participants agree to attend applicable meetings, Macy's fittings, assigned Sunday and Wednesday rehearsals, the full-cast rehearsal, the show-week rehearsal, and performances on Saturday, November 28, and Sunday, November 29.

2. CTL Christmas Production participants must honor their commitment after scene assignments are made unless an unforeseen emergency occurs. Any necessary change must be communicated to the production team immediately.

3. Our expectation is that student behavior at casting, meetings, fittings, rehearsals, and performances will conform to the rules contained in the applicable school Student-Parent Handbook.

4. Students assigned a school disciplinary responsibility during a scheduled CTL rehearsal are not automatically exempt. They must speak directly with the appropriate school administrator about any modification.

5. Students staying overnight at the DoubleTree Hotel must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is a registered guest in the same room. Students must follow all school, parent, and hotel supervision rules.

6. All students are expected to attend school as scheduled on Monday, November 30, following the final performance. CTL participation does not independently excuse an absence.

7. We cannot cover every possible situation here. Our expectation is that all students will conduct themselves as responsible young adults and follow the letter and spirit of the rules governing student behavior at Jesuit High School or St. Francis High School.
